Biography

Prof. K. H. Chu received his bachelor degree from the University of California at Berkeley in Biological Sciences, with specialization in Marine Biology in the year 1976 and completed his PhD study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology/Wood Hole Oceanographic Institution Joint Program in Oceanography in 1984. He is now a professor at the School of Life Sciences, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and was the founding Director of the school and Programme Director of Biology Programme Associate Head & Trustee of the New Asia College. His research interest includes Molecular marine biology and biotechnology and Biology of crustaceans. He has published many research papers international journals.

Molecular marine biology and biotechnology, molecular systematics and ecology, molecular and immunological studies on seafood allergy, biology of crustaceans, crustacean genomics, larval development, growth and reproduction, fisheries, aquaculture and pollution biology
