Biography

He was graduated from Ege University, Faculty of Science, Department of Biology in 1983. He was appointed as a biology Teacher at Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Education between 1983 and1994. He completed his MSc. degree in 1986 and PhD. degree in 1992. He was appointed as assistant professors to Faculty of Fisheries, Department of Basic Sciences in 1994. At the same department he was promoted as associate professor and full time professor, respectively, in 1998 and 2003. He is still working as full time professor in Faculty of Fisheries, Department of Basic Sciences. Additionally, he has been director at the Bergama Vocational high Scholl between 2010-2013 and Dean of Faculty of Fisheries between 2013-2016. He had conducted and worked more than 30 national and international projects.Awarded by Duke University as Global Fellows. He is married and has two kids. His foreign language is English.
