Biography

He was born on April 8, 1956 in the village. Axes Zhytomyr. region He graduated from Kiev. University (1978), where he worked until 1987. In 1987-90 he worked at the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR, since 1990 at the Institute of Cell Biology and Genetic Engineering of the NAS of Ukraine (in 1995-2008 - Deputy Director). Since 2008 - Director of the Institute of Food Biotechnology and Genomics of NAS of Ukraine. The scientific works are devoted to problems of cell biology and biotechnology of plants, structure and functions of the cytoskeleton of a plant cell. Explained the role of post-translational modifications of nuclear proteins in the regulation of the supramolecular structure of chromatin, developed an understanding of the biochemical mechanisms of regulation of the structural and functional properties of chromatin and the molecular organization and mechanisms of cytoskeletal function of cells of higher plants.
