Biography

Dr.Nana Sarfo Agyemang Derkyi is the Head of Energy and Environmental Engineering and a Renewable Energy Technologies Specialist by training and practice. He was trained at CIRAD, France in biomass technology as well as chemometric modelling and the applications of near infrared spectroscopy. He is versatile in renewable energy technologies trained at the Arava Institute of Environmental Studies, Israel. He also received an award from the Organization for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to be trained in Tandem GC-MS for the determination and monitoring of organic pollutants and other organic compounds at the Kenyatta University in Kenya. In addition to these he was also well trained on Food Technology at Shriram Research Institute in India on a scholarship affiliated by the Indian Government. He also received training in Green Technology and Economy in Pretoria, South Africa sponsored by UNEP, UNDP and Hisense International.
