Biography

Jacques Thierie is a versatile writer and researcher that published extensively in specialized field. He was born in 1949, in Brussels, Belgium. He is doctor of science of the Universite Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and has a career devoted to teaching but especially to academic research. He, in particular, worked many years with Professor Ilya Prigogine, Belgian Nobel Prize of chemistry (1977).He is the author of dozens of articles and two books (one devoted to biological evolution). Currently, he is retired from ULB, guest auditor at the Faculty of Sciences and continues his work as an independent researcher.


Research Interest

His research interest includes thermodynamics of irreversible processes, environmental as well as microbiological biotechnology. Metabolomics constitutes his main interest, chiefly concerning metabolic shift in continuous cultures.
