Biography

Dr. Im-Sampen received her PhD degree from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, followed by postdoctoral fellowships at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Minnesota and at the Department of Nephrology, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. She is a Professor/ Principal Investigator at the Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center (JBVAMC) in Chicago with a conjoint appointment in the Department of Bioengineering, University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). She has published over 125 full-length peer reviewed papers in reputed journals, and has been serving as an Editor-in-Chief for and an Editorial Board Member for numerous journals.
