Biography

Dr Peter Blas started his education in drug manufacturing in 1998 completing an BSc(Hons) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry in Sheffield, England, UK. After working in the pharmaceutical industry (Pfizer, Biodynamics Ltd) He then moved to London to complete an MSc in Biochemical Engineering in 2002 at University College London (UCL). After which he completed a Ph.D there at UCL in 2008 under the supervision of Professor Mike Hoare FREng. During his research he has won the UCL cross-disciplinary Scholarship, a prize that allowed him to conduct research at the prestigious Royal Free Hospital in London (famous for the Ebola vaccine). His supervisor at the Royal Free Hospital was Professor Kerry Chester in the department of Oncology. After this he completed a PGCE, and has worked in British Education and as a free-lance researcher until 2018. His recent publication is “The Use of a Surface Active Agent in the Protection of a Fusion Protein during Bioprocessing
