Biography

To whom it may concern, I have more than 5 years post ̶ PhD professional research experience in some of the world’s respected universities and laboratories. I have been successful in developing/executing innovative scientific ideas as well as experimental techniques and have more than 50 articles and presentations to my credit. One of my greatest strengths is the interdisciplinary research. My strong background of Chemistry, Physics, and Materials Science/Engineering together with my ability to produce accurate and reproducible results makes me a perfect choice for advanced multidisciplinary research. I am adept at designing and implementing experimental procedures in Chemistry, Materials, Mechanics, and Electronics. My current research interests include polymer composites, and macro-/hetero-structures of graphene like two-dimensional materials for energy, healthcare, and electronics applications. I am skilled in wide variety of experimental/characterization techniques, including XPS, RAMAN, XRD, SEM, TEM, Photolithography, e-beam, electrical and mechanical characterizations, as well as many others. I am able to train and guide students, laboratory fellows, and technicians, and familiar with grant applications (won 4 grants in last 5 years). Thanks to my ten-year study and work experience in China, I find myself extremely comfortable working in a multicultural and strongly collaborative environment. In my last five years of professional research, I have started and completed several new research initiatives in collaboration with academia (Prof. Tawfique Hassan at Cambridge University, UK, Prof. Xianfeng Duan at UCLA, USA, Prof. Bin Yu at City University of New York, USA, Prof. Endo at Shinshu University, Japan, and Prof. Jack Luo at Bolton University, UK) and industry (Oil giant Schlumberger Limited). I also carry a brief industry experience of 6 months where my main job was development and commercialization of new chemical products. Sincerely yours,
