Biography

Panicos Kyriacou is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), Chartered Physicist (CPhys) and Chartered Scientist (CSci). He also offers his charitable services to the World Health Organisation (WHO) and UNESCO in the field of medical equipment management in developing countries. He is the editor-in-chief of the Elsevier journal Biomedical signal processing and control and deputy editor of the IoP journal biomedical physics and engineering Express. In March 2017 professor has been elected to the prestigious post of president of the European Alliance for Medical and Biological Engineering & Science (EAMBES).


Research Interest

Understanding development and applications of medical instrumentation, biosensors and clinical measurements to facilitate the prognosis, diagnosis and treatment of disease with a focus in the design of non-invasive optical sensors for the early screening of cardiovascular diseases and monitoring of blood gases and tissue biochemistry.
