Biography

Louis is a dynamic executive-level Leader with extensive pharmaceutical industry experience in the Discovery and Development of drugs from R&D through marketing with a proven track record in both Biotech and large Pharmaceutical companies. Louis is a skilled and science-driven leader with extensive experience in all aspects of Chemistry Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) including cGMP production (API and drug product, solid dosage forms, lyophilized powder), CRO/CMO management, and regulatory affairs for small molecule investigational new drugs as well as in Discovery Research. Wrote and reviewed CMC sections for numerous regulatory filings (US, EU, Canada). He is inventor and leader for Velcade (bortezomib; IV), a new chemical entity and the first proteasome inhibitor approved for the treatment of patients with multiple myeloma (approved by the FDA in May 2003).
