Biography

The focus of Dr. Sunil Kumar study is precision medicine and biomarker discovery. He use Human Papillomavirus (HPV) as a potential biomarker for oropharyngeal cancer patients. As tissue biopsy samples are not easily available so he has developed a liquid biopsy based method to measure HPV DNA in patient’s blood sample. The assay which I developed has direct application to improve patient care.
