Biography

Alessandro Pini graduates in Biological Sciences at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Natural Sciences of the University of Siena in 1993. Today he is an aggregate professor of biochemistry at the same university. The research topic on which it works is the identification, characterization and development of bioactive peptides for the development of new biotechnological drugs. In the last years the main research topic has been the development of an antimicrobial peptide that is particularly active against important pathogens of clinical interest: in the FC field the bacterium specifically considered was Pseudomonas aeruginosa. He is the author of dozens of scientific articles published in newspapers of biochemistry, biotechnology, oncology and microbiology, more than 90 communications at national and international conferences, and inventor in 9 international patents. He is the author of a textbook adopted for the teaching of "Recombinant Antibodies" in the Biotechnology Course at the University of Siena. Index H 18.
