Biography

Jan Beute was trained as an anesthesiologist at St. Antonius Hospital at Nieuwegein, the foremost cardiopulmonary hospital in the Netherlands. Subsequently he gained his ICU certification at the OLVG Hospital in Amsterdam, the first acknowledged ICU training hospital in the Netherlands. After that he assisted in developing the ICU training certification of the VU academic hospital in Amsterdam. After working in several community hospitals he is presently finishing a PhD thesis concerning PDE3 inhibitors in pulmonary and allergic disease.
