Biography

Dr. Eric Brunner is a Professor of Social and Biological Epidemiology at Institute of Epidemiology & Health, University College London. He received his B. Sc. degree in Chemistry from University of Exeter, UK and M.Sc. degree in Biochemistry from University of London. His Ph.D. is in Epidemiology and Public Health from University College London. He joined University College London in 1989. His research area focusses on Ageing, Global Health, and Populations & Lifelong Health. His current research includes studies of successful ageing, including adaptation to existing morbidity and accelerated biological ageing. He has more than 400 publications and his one of the latest publication is obesity trajectories and risk of Dementia: 28 years of follow-up in the Whitehall II Study.
