Biography

Ziad Noujeim is Oral and Jaw Surgeon, European Board Certified in Oral Surgery, Former Director of Oral Pathology Postgraduate Program, Former Chairperson of Research and Basic Science Departments, Former Director of Oral Surgery Postgraduate Program, Senior Lecturer and Postgraduate Tutor in the Departments of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Pathology and Diagnosis, and in charge of human orofacial anatomy dissection at the Lebanese University Faculty of Dental Medicine in Beirut, Lebanon. He is one of the rare recipients of the Gold Medal of the LDA (2003) - the highest LDA Decoration - for his achievements in organized dentistry and dental education. His main interests are dental education, Jaw cysts and benign tumors, oral medicine, oral mucosal lesions, impacted teeth pathology and surgery, and applied oral and maxillofacial anatomy. He is attending oral surgeon at Baabda University Hospital at Baabda, Lebanon, and Lebanese Army Central Hospital, Beirut. He maintains a private practice limited to Oral Medicine, Surgical Dentistry, Oral and Jaw Surgery, and Dental Implants. Noujeim is a Fellow of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (FACOMS) and the International College of Dentists (FICD). He maintains a continuous footprint in the world of dental academics. He has lectured in Lebanon, Bulgaria, KSA, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Tunisia, Morocco, Syria, UAE, France, Germany, Belgium, Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, and USA. He is the author and co-author of 2 books, 11 papers cited on PubMed, 8 editorials, 13 scientific articles in domestic, regional, and international journals, and 1 post-graduate dissertation.
