Biography

Dr. Vahid Rezania, an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Sciences, has been at MacEwan University since 2004. He received his PhD in theoretical physics in 2000. In October 2000 he joined the University of Alberta where he continued his research as a postdoctoral fellow and then as research associate. Over the years at MacEwan University, he developed and taught numerous physics courses at different levels (first year to fourth year). He also has significantly contributed to the research culture in the department and university. He has published several peer-reviewed articles in internationally-recognized journals and presented his works in highly reputable conferences. He has been collaborating with several faculties from University of Alberta, University of Calgary, University of California, Santa Barbara, and University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.


Research Interest

Research interest include how a human liver is functioning, drug distribution and metabolisms through the liver, In particular understanding how as a blood-like fluid containing drug molecules flows through the liver, separate drug molecules from the blood and perform an enzymatic transformation or remove them from the blood.
