Biography

Professor Efterpi Christaki, Laboratory of Nutrition, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She is veterinarian, nutritionist, graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 2015-2017, she was the Head of the Department of Animal Production, Ichthyology, Ecology and Protection of the Environment. Her research interests include nutrition, functional foods and bioactive substances macro- and micro algae, feed additives such as probiotics, prebiotics, aromatic plants, herbal extracts, and quality of animal feeds. She is reviewer and member of editorial boards in several peer-reviewed journals and member of scientific committees as well as in Scientific & Organising committees of National and International conferences. She is examiner of Master & PhD theses, and external examiner / evaluator of National and International research projects. She is member of Research team in more than 20 funded research projects. She has more than 200 publications (6 books, 4 chapters in interantional books, research articles, reviews, congress presentations).
