Biography

Ramzi Maalej was born in 1972. He received MS degree in Physics from the University of Sfax in 1995, and PhD in Quantum Physics from University of Tunis El Manar in 2001 and Habilitaion HDR in 2007. He is presently full professor of Physics at the University of Sfax, Tunisia. He is leading the research group “Photonic and Advanced Materials”. His Current research interests include theoretical and experimental studies of nanomaterials for emerging forensic technologies, optical sensors, nano biosensors... He co-authored more than 55 peer-reviewed scientific journals. He supervised 11 PhD students. He is actually principal investigator of many multidisciplinary funded projects. He is the chair of three editions of the international conference on engineering sciences in biology and medicine ESBM. He is associate editor of IEEE transactions on nanobiosciences Journal and member of the Arab Society of Forensic Sciences and Forensic Medicine.


Research Interest

He is intersted in Photonic and Advanced Materials. His Current research interests include theoretical and experimental studies of nanomaterials for emerging forensic technologies, optical sensors, nanobiosensors.
