Biography

Bruno Kistner has started in 1981 with Roche Vitamins in Basel Switzerland in various roles as product manager and manager of an Emerging Markets Region 2003. Roche Vitamins was sold to Dutch DSM where he created the Nutrition Improvement Program for DSM, a Corporate Social Responsibility program aiming to fight malnutrition via food fortification. The Nutrition Improvement Program was awarded the Business for Development Award by the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York in 2010. During this time public private partnerships between DSM and the World Food Program WFP and the Amsterdam initiative against Malnutrition AIM were established. Then he moved to Singapore in 2013 to manage the Asian business for Glanbia Nutritionals, an Irish dairy company. From 2016 accepted a position as Policy Director in Food Industry Asia, an Industry association covering the multinational food industries interests in Asia. He is responsible there for AROFIIN, the Asian Roundtable on Food Innovation for improved Nutrition, a public private partnership between government, non-government, industry and academia to discuss solutions for obesity and malnutrition in Asia. Since 2018 re located back to Germany as independent advisor and non-executive director of Defugo Bioceuticals, Australia and Nuproxa, Switzerland.
