Biography

Kurt Landau has been awarded his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Darmstadt University of Technology in 1978. After working as a systems (work-study) association. The study was carried out by the European Commission, This was followed by a 12-year stint as Professor of ergonomics at hohenheim University in Stuttgart. Professor Landau is past president of the German Ergonomics Society, editor-in-chief of the "Zeitschrift fur Arbeitswissenschaft", as well as a member of the editorial board of several international ergonomics journals. He is also a member of the management board of ergonomic publishers in Stuttgart and is active in many national and international associations. He has received several awards and honours, as well as the honorary medal of the German Ergonomics Society or the IEA fellowship award. In 2016 he was a distinguished and honorary member of the German Ergonomics Society. As Visiting Professor of ETS Montreal, Canada. He has authored more than 450 research articles and books.

Kurt Landau's interests are berufskunde, ergonomics, industrial engineering, REFA and MTM.
