Biography

He had started the interest in hemophilia and bleeding disorders in 2002 same year our country joined WFH in Spain. During all these years he had built my experience as a physician diagnose and treat patients with different bleeding disorders. He had a chance to get in close contact with patients and exposed to the clinical, social and personal problems. He had contributed to the hemophilia society in my country and Middle East countries by: 1.Conducting many workshops for care givers 2.Contributed as a speaker in different cities of my country and ME countries 3.Organizing yearly hemophilia awareness days 4.Started comprehensive bleeding clinic in few cities of Saudi Arabia and had the first private and charity clinics for non-Saudis 5.Conducted two epidemiological surveys in the country for detecting the prevalence of inhibitors and bleeding symptoms and disorders in major cities of Saudi Arabia 6.Started molecular diagnosis of hemophilia and Glanzmann disease 7.Contributed in establishing guidelines in hemophilia, von Willebrand and Glanzmann diseases which became the source of management for local practitioners. 8.After years of work with the government and with help of WFH they succeeded to have Saudi hemophilia society and he became the vice president. 9.In had succeeded in getting financial support for patients who are not covered medically for treatment of inherited disorders like Hemophilia and they have some of on prophylaxis for long period covered by insurance or by charity support.
