Biography

Prof. Dr. Christian Byhahn Senior Physician at the Protestant Hospital Oldenburg since 2013, was appointed as an unscheduled professor at the University of Oldenburg last year. Byhahn studied medicine in Frankfurt am Main. From 1999 to 2013 he worked at the Department of Anaesthesiology, Intensive Care Medicine and Pain Therapy at the University Hospital Frankfurt am Main, most recently since 2009 as executive and senior senior physician. In 1999, he earned his doctorate in Frankfurt with a thesis on the burden of surgical staff by anesthetic gases. 2005 followed the habilitation with an intensive medical topic. Byhahn has completed vocational training as a paramedic, further training in emergency medicine and intensive care as well as an extra-occupational study "Business Administration for doctors", which he completed with certification as a health economist.
