Biography

I obtained both the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Masters of Engineering (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering (Production Engineering Option) from The Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria in 2012 and 2017 respectively. I also obtained Bachelor of Technology Degree (BTech) in Chemical Engineering from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria in 2008. At present, I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria, South Africa where I work with other research team members on the development of indigenous technology for the development of the railcar manufacturing industry in South Africa. Prior to that, I was a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, Nigeria where I taught courses relating to Fluid Dynamics and Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Mechanical Vibrations and Control, Systems Engineering and Control, Production Engineering, Engineering thermodynamics, Maintenance Management, Electromechanical Machines and Turbomachinery both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. During my 7 years of service at the institution, I was rated the best Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical & Mechatronics Engineering for the year 2015, 2016 and 2017. I am a registered member (Professional Engineer Cadre) of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and an associate member of the Southern African Institute of Industrial Engineering (SAIIE). I have successfully completed the supervision of 30 students at the Bachelor’s Degree level and 3 students at the Master’s Degree level. I have published extensively both at the local and international peer reviewed journals and conferences numbering 92 and 60 respectively with 1 Book and 3 Book Chapters. I am vast and proficient in the use of computational and dynamic modelling and simulation software tools such as the ANSYS, Design Expert, MATLAB, Dynaware etc. with landmark projects and inventions initiated and completed within the stipulated time frame numbering 30. I have also served meritoriously in several administrative and academic capacities both at the local and international levels. My teaching and research interests include; Production Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing as well as Automation and Robotics.
