As a Director of Surgery & Critical Care and a volunteer-surgeon in remote parts of the world, I’ve seen and managed some of the most complicated cases. As a clinician and administrator, I've led the transformation of a local trauma program into an ACS-verified Level 1 Trauma Center at Richmond University Medical Center. As an educator, I've been commissioned by medical schools and hospitals around the world to devise surgical curricula and board review materials for over 20 years. An award-winning research scholar, also perennially invited to present at the most prestigious international conferences on Surgery, Trauma and Critical Care. I'm currently a senior fellow at ACS, ACCP, and East.
