Biography

Larry Simmons has more than 20 years of experience in nursing education. His current expertise includes, test construction and test item writing, curriculum issues, and ongoing faculty development and is a nationally recognized speaker. He also holds a certificate as a credentialing specialist. Larry has been Interim Director and then Director of the CNE program at the NLN for the past five years. He has been instrumental in the development of the CNE program, including testing internationally and the development of the clinical educator competencies, task statements, and practice analysis for clinical nurse educators. He currently is full-time DNP faculty at South University, Tampa, FL campus.
