Biography

Dr Sami El Shimi is the Professor of Pediatrics and Chair of Pediatric Department and Physician-in-Chief of NICU units in Children’s & Obstetrics Hospitals at Ain Shams University in Cairo-Egypt. He was formerly acting as the Executive Director of the Children Hospital (320 beds – tertiary level) from 2006-2010. He was graduated in 1976 from Ain Shams University where he completed his training in all sub-specialties of Pediatrics especially intensive care and neonatology and his postgraduate studies (Ms, MD, PhD) and served as a resident, lecturer, assistant professor then professor of pediatrics and neonatology since 1996.
