Jeanette is an Associate Professor at the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She uses technology-assisted strategies, such as gaming and simulation, in her teaching. She has been invited to give talks and workshops related to simulation-based education in other countries such as in the Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Japan. Jeanette received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines, and her PhD in Health Professions Education from Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Prior to getting her doctorate degrees, Jeanette has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Jeanette is trained in Anaesthesia and is presently involved in research using virtual reality, simulation- and game-based education.
