Biography

Guangshun Wang is an Associate Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He has also worked as an associate editor for Current Organic Chemistry and section Editor-in-Chief for Pharmaceutical Frontiers. Guangshun Wang's lab has constructed, and are maintaining, the most popular database for antimicrobial peptides (website citations 1390 as of Oct 2018). At present, over 3000 such peptides have been registered in the antimicrobial peptide database (APD) (http://aps.unmc.edu/AP). He has also edited three books, including "Antimicrobial Peptides: Discovery, Design and Novel Therapeutic Strategies" (CABI, 2017).

Research Interest

He is interested in the Identification, Characterization, Prediction and Design of Novel Antimicrobial Peptides to combat difficult-to-kill Superbugs and Viruses.
