Biography

Ines Gasmi got her PhD in Agricultural sciences: Desertification, Environment and Climate change from the National Institute of Agronomy of Tunisia. She got an international master degree in Dryland Management organized by the UNU-INWEH, and a master degree in Combating Desertification and Sustainable Management of Natural Resources in Drylands from the National Institute of Agronomy of Tunisia. Since she is a young researcher from a country that suffers from water shortage and the direct impact of climate change. She was always trying to find some solutions to protect soil and water resources, so she tried to study different techniques of Rainwater harvesting and other techniques for soil and water conservation to insure a long-term soil water reserve during severe drought. She was focused also on irrigation water management and the dynamics of water, heat and fertilizers in the soil mainly in the plant root-zone
