Biography

Robert work as part of a multi-national team backed by UK government funding that is trying to aid rice growing countries in mitigating the impact of climate change on future rice production. Together with project partners in the China, Thailand and the Philippines we use many cutting edge technology to develop rice plants which are more drought and or heat tolerant. My day-to-day work entails managing technicians and doctoral students, designing and implementing experiments, liaising with project partners and writing scientific communications. I regularly attend conferences to disseminate my work via oral presentation and or the exhibition of a poster. I have a keen interest in science and people and enjoy experiencing new cultures.
