Yan Liang obtained her PhD degree at Molecular Cellular Biology Program at Ohio University where she identified and characterized several glycosyltransferases involved in glycoprotein biosynthesis for plant cell wall assembly. She is now a Biologist Project Scientist at Joint BioEnergy Institute (JBEI) and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (LBNL) at Berkeley, CA, USA. She serves as an associate editor for the journal of Plant Method.
To develop novel tools and strategies for efficient cell wall engineering of plants for biofuel production.
