Biography

Dr. Eisa Tahmasbpour is a researcher in the Laboratory of Regenerative Medicine and Biomedical Innovations located in the Pasteur Institute of Iran. He earned an MSc in Biochemistry (2005-2008) and obtained his PhD in Molecular Medicine at BMSU (2012-2016). After completing his PhD, he started a postdoctoral research work (2017-2020) with Dr. Mostafa Ghanei and Dr. Hossein Shahsavarani at Lab. of Regenerative Medicine and Biomedical Innovations, Pasteur Institute of Iran. He has investigated mesenchymal stem cells therapy for lung regeneration. Working with induced pluripotent stem cells and their differentiation to other adult cells was another experience that he gained in this period. After completing his postdoctoral research, he has started to collaborate in research projects and work as a researcher & advisor to help MSc and PhD students in the lab.

Research Interest

differentiation of human-induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) to endoderm cells and then lung epithelial cells using natural and chemical compounds for clinical application.
