Biography

Dr. Heap-Yih (John) Chong obtained his PhD in Civil Engineering (Construction Engineering and Management) from University Technology Malaysia in 2011.He has a strong track record of coherent research outputs in the top refereed journal articles and has successfully secured a number of competitive research grants from funding bodies in Australia ( including ARC Discovery Grant) and other countries, such as Malaysia, China, Middle East, and Japan. He has a growing profile and is actively involved in professional bodies and industry engagements. His academic profile is interdisciplinary in nature and research revolves around management and technological aspects of (a) construction and project management, (b) ICT applications including BIM, (c) strategic decision-making, and (d) sustainability studies.
