Dr. Yong Chen studied condensed matter physics at the Wuhan University and the University of Montpellier where he received his Ph.D degree in 1986. After three years post-doctoral fellowship at the Scuola Normale Superioire di Pisa and the Peking University, he obtained Charge-of-research and then Director-of-research position of French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS). He has also served as Professor of the Ecole Normale Supérieure of Paris, Adjunct professor of Kyoto University, Changjiang Scholar of Peking University and Distinguished Chair Professor of Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He has published more than 400 research articles in SCI journals
