Biography

YudongZheng is a Professor and Vice-director at Research Center of Biomedical Materials, School of Material Science and Engineering,University of Science and Technology Beijing. She received her first and MSc degrees in Polymer Science Engineering in Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and PhD degree in South China University of Technology (SCUT),and went to Britain and USA for exchange visits and cooperation of the international projects several times. She has extensive research experience in bio-hydrogel, nano bacterial cellulose, biopolymers and bio-nanocomposites and their biomedical application. She is the principle investigator of a portfolio of projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Royal Society-NSFC international joint project grant, the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and many enterprises. Prof.Zheng have published about 80 papers in Biomaterials, Acta biomaterials, J of Materials chemistry, J Control release, Tissue Engineering,et al, and obtained about 30 national invention patents, win the scientific research national and provincial-level incentives awards. She is currently a council member of Chinese Society for Biomaterials (CSBM), the Vice Chairman of the Committee of the CSBM-Biocomposites Branch, a committee member of Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering-Biomaterials Branch (CSBME-BMB), a council member of Chinese Society for Composite Materials (CSCM), a committee member of the Medical Devices Classification Technical Committee of China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA), a review expert of medical devices for CFDA, and committee members of several other professional societies.
