Biography

Dr. Daphne Sawlwin is the Therapeutic Area Safety Head, Pharmacovigilance and Risk Management at Seqirus, a CSL company, where she leads a team of physicians and safety scientists managing life cycle safety risk management of preventative vaccines and therapeutic immunoglobulins against venoms. Daphne has 17 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry during which she has spent 10 years in drug safety and 7 years in clinical development. Daphne has worked in many therapeutic areas and products including oncology, haematology, rheumatology, hormonal replacement, coagulation products, and vaccines. Daphne is a physician by training and has post-graduate qualifications in immunology, evidence-based practice and clinical epidemiology. She is a member of the Australian Pharmaceutical Physicians Association.
