Biography

Prof. K.N.Selvaraj presently holding the post of Professor of Agricultural Economics at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, India extensively worked on technology impact assessment, international trade and IPR. He has been instrumental in winning the Ponni rice trade mark for India and establishing a new department of Trade and Intellectual Property in the University. During his tenure as Chair of the newly established department he filed many inventions of his university for IP protection and he was instrumental in obtaining the Intellectual Property Award among the various institutes in India from the Ministry Commerce and Industry for filing inventions of social and environmental impact. To his credit he has more than 100 publications including conference papers and book chapters. He is reviewer of many peer reviewed journals including Australian Journal of Agricultural and Resources Economics and Associate Editor of International Journal of Agricultural Sciences.
