Biography

Bhavna Vimawala is an Architect from School of Architecture, CEPT Ahmedabad (1983), also a Planner and an academician for the past 25 years. A professor at the Faculty of Architecture- SCET, Currently appointed as a Dean, in-charge Principal, at IDPT- SCET (Institute of Design, Planning & Technology) of Sarvajanik University, Surat, India. She has received many awards for academic and research work. Won the most prestigious recognition, given by the Indian Institute of Architects- IIA AWARD for Excellence in Architecture: for the category of Research Studies in 2016. She has presented several papers and published them at national and international repute. Research Papers have been awarded BEST and SELECTED Papers in PORTUS plus the online journal of RETE Publisher, Venice. Also was invited to the EU Funded Erasmus KA-107 Mobility Program at Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (Spain)-UPCT, and Invited by Asian University Network Forum on Advances in Research forum AUNFAIR 2018 at Aichi Gakuin University, Nagoya, Japan in 2018. She has also presented in the 4th World Summit on Climate Change & Global Warming on the topic “Capacity building of Indian cities on urban climate change resilience” at Osaka Japan in June 2019.
