National Biomass Association (BGBIOM) is non-government non-commercial association which was established in the autumn of 1998. In October same year BGBIOM became member of European Biomass Association (AEBIOM). The aims of the association is to co-ordinate and facilitate the research and development works in the fields of biomass resources, biofuel production technologies, biofuel market in the transport, heat and energy sector, as well as in the field of biomass non-energy products. Main goals of the BGBIOM are: • Defend the professional rights of the people working in the field of biomass in the country and confirmation of their equality under law, state and employers. • Represent of their interests towards the authorities and employers. • Participation in the social collaboration. • Improvement of the parameters of the current methods of cultivating and manufacturing of the biomass and therefore parameter of the environment. • Increasing the possibility of production of energy and materials for the biomass industry. • Propagandising general conclusions for surmounting difficulties before the use of biomass. • Improving international cooperating in the biomass sphere. • Assistance in realization of international projects. • Initiation of science developments. BGBIOM accomplishes these aims by: • Propaganda and information for approval of science activities, connected with production and application of the biomass in the Industry and Energetic (publishing of a news bulletin; circulation of documents) • Organizing the publishing of materials and education (courses, seminars, conferences, symposia, exhibitions) • Publishing (connected with collaboration with schools at all levels) • Co-operating with organizations in this field including foreign and international organizations • Consultative and expert activity • Creating and maintenance of the card-index of specialists in this sphere Recently, BGBIOM actively participated in implementation of two projects with financial support of EU under the H2020 programme. • Uptake of solid bioenergy in European commercial sectors (industry, trade, agricultural and service sectors) (Bioenergy4Business) - ◦ The main objective of the Horizon 2020 project Bioenergy4Business is to increase the usage of solid biomass sources by a (at least partial) fuel-switch from coal, oil or natural gas used in commercial sectors for heat purposes to bioenergy. Bioenergy4Business builds a bridge between policies and markets for supporting the creation of an enabling environment, the use of sound business models and the careful assessment and implementation of bioenergy heat in district heating and in “in-house” applications in industrial, commercial, agriculture and services sectors. • BioRES – Sustainable Regional Supply Chains for Woody – ◦ BioRES aims at introducing an innovative concept of Biomass Logistic and Trade Centres (BLTCs) in Serbia, Croatia, and Bulgaria based on cooperation with technology leaders from Austria, Slovenia, Germany, and Finland. This will help increasing the demand for woody bioenergy products (processed fire wood, wood chips, wood pellets, and wood briquettes) in these countries and contribute to the achievement of EU targets set out in the RES Directive (2009/28/EC). Both projects finished in 2017. From December 2017 BGBIOM is included in new project ENABLING - Enhance New Approaches in BioBased Local Innovation Networks for Growth. ENABLING is the initiative of 16 partners in 13 EU and associated (IL, NO) countries. The main goal to support the spreading of best practices and innovation in the provision (production, pre‐processing) of biomass for the BBI (Bio‐Based Industry). In particular, ENABLING aims at creating appropriate conditions for the development of efficient biomass to BBPs (Bio‐Based Products and Processes) value chains.

We are located just off the A1 in central England on the outskirts of Grantham.

Holding specialized conferences Professional foundry conferences will be held twice a year in accordance with multinational purchasers demands, matching purchasers with suitable suppliers and helping suppliers understand purchasers needs and differing purchasing processes. Business opportunities and trade agreements will be facilitated.
