Dr. Rebecca Ng Mei Li received his Ph.D. in Medicine from the University of Sydney in 2014. After completion of her Ph.D degree she was appointed as a Senior Lecturer in the Advanced Medical and Dental Institute (AMDI) at the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia. After receiving her Ph.D degree, Dr. Rebecca Ng Mei Li served her postdoctoral position at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore from 2013 to 2015 while maintaining her lecturer appointment at USM. Her research interests are focused on the translational and therapeutic discovery aspects of insulin resistance of Type 2 Diabetes, with a specific interest in identifying novel protein biomarkers to aid diagnosis and drug target development. Dr Rebecca Ng Mei Li has attended numerous international and national conferences both as oral presenter. Her Ph.D project has won the 1st Professor Mustaffa Young Investigators' Award in 2016 by National Diabetes Institute (NADI), Malaysia. As a young scientist in translational diabetes research with a strong interest in biomarker discovery, she answers questions recently about what novel protein biomarker which is recently investigating in type 2 diabetes.
