Biography

Dr. M. M. Hossain is a Research Scientist at Proveta Nutrition, Saskatoon, Canada, where he is conducting research and providing outreach programs in the field of intestinal physiology and antibiotic-free feeding programs. Moreover, he is responsible for formulating diets for monogastric animals, monitoring feed mill and quality of the finished products. He has a vast knowledge of on/off-field nutritional research and industrial animal nutrition. His previous jobs include positions as postdoctoral researcher at Dankook University, South Korea, research staff, and postdoctoral fellow at University of Manitoba, Canada, jobs in the research institute, feed industry, and primary agricultural production. He has almost 50 published research papers and abstracts from Journal of Animal Science, Canadian Journal of Animal Science, Poultry Science, Animal Feed Science and Technology, Livestock Science and other renowned journals with having a more than 120 citations from his published works. He obtained a PhD degree in monogastric nutrition from Dankook University, and a Masters degree from the Bangladesh Agricultural University, Bangladesh. He secured 1st position in both degrees among all the students. Dr. Manik is born and raised on a small livestock operation in the Northern part of Bangladesh.
