Biography

Dr. Suresh Kumar Jhirwal, Assistant Professor, Department of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology is serving College of Veterinary and Animal Science, Bikaner, Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bikaner, since July 2014 after completing his successful tenure of 13 years and 7 months in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Government of Rajasthan. He served department of Animal Husbandry in excellent manner as Veterinary Officer and received appreciation by District Collector, Barmer, Rajasthan in the year 2001 for excellent services rendered by him to the society.After joining the University as Assistant Professor he proved his work excellence as Veterinary surgeon by contributing in new technique i.e. Cataract surgery in dogs by Phacoemulsification and IOL implant using operating microscope. His work was recognised by the University and he was awarded on the occasion of Republic day, 2015 by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal sciences, Bikaner

Research Interest

As a veterinary surgeon during the tenure of department of Animal Husbandry he served College of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Bikaner from 04 December, 2001 to 25 May, 2005 as Instructor and during that period he contributed a lot in small and large animal surgery including Radiology, Ultrasonography, techniques of anaesthesiology and Ophthalmology. He is member of six Scientific National and International organisation. Contributing as Assistant Editor in a reputed journal named Journal of Camel Practice and Research.
