Title: Energy Alterations and Chakras’ Energy Deficiencies as Underlying Cause of Tremors

Biography:

Huang Wei Ling, born in Taiwan, raised and graduated in medicine in Brazil, specialist in infectious and parasitic diseases, a General Practitioner and Parenteral and Enteral Medical Nutrition Therapist. Once in charge of the Hospital Infection Control Service of the City of Franca’s General Hospital, she was responsible for the control of all prescribed antimicrobial medication and received an award for the best paper presented at the Brazilian Hospital Infection Control Congress in 1998. Since 1997, she works with the approach and treatment of all chronic diseases in a holistic way, with treatment guided through the teachings of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Hippocrates. Researcher in the University of São Paulo, in the Ophthalmology department from 2012 to 2013.Author of the theory Constitutional Homeopathy of the Five Elements Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Abstract:

Essential tremor (ET) is a nervous system disorder causing involuntary and rhythmic shaking. In traditional Chinese medicine, tremors could be caused by energy deficiencies leading to internal Heat and Wind formation responsible for the tremors. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that patients with ET have an energy and chakras energy deficiency and the correction of these imbalances and replenishment of these chakras energy deficiency is important to treat this kind of patients. The methodology used was based on five clinical cases reports, two adolescents, one young adult and two older people. All of them complaining of a mild tremor in the hands. In the adolescents the main cause was the excessive of use computer and cellphone; in the young adults was due to excessive use of psychotropic medications; in the older patient, the tremor appeared after implantation of dental implant. All of them did the chakras energy measurement through radiesthesia procedure and all the energy in these chakras was completely depleted in energy. The treatment was done rebalancing the internal energy through Chinese dietary nutrition, auricular acupuncture with apex ear bloodletting and replenishment of the chakras energy deficiency through highly diluted medications. Findings: All patients improved a lot the ET with the treatment done.  Conclusion: Through these cases reports it is possible to observe the effectiveness and importance of considering energy imbalances during diagnosis and treatment of ET. Therefore, in order to treat correctly the tremor on the hands, we must treat the patient as a whole, observing his emotions, diet, type of medication that the patient is using, the use of electromagnetic devices and the use of metal implants in the body, that could be the factors leading to energy deficiencies.

Abstract:

Dementia is a chronic syndrome characterized by a progressive decline in cognition, behavior, and everyday activities that affects mainly older people and, with the population aging at a fast rate worldwide, its burden is destined to increase dramatically. To date, no pharmacological treatment is available to prevent or cure dementia, thus highlighting the urgent need for new, effective, therapeutic strategies. In recent years, non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) is emerging as a promising rehabilitation tool for a number of neurodegenerative diseases. Non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) techniques, such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) have been developed and are currently under investigation in patients with dementia. During TMS, transient rapid-changing magnetic fields are used to induce secondary electric currents in the underlying cortical surface, which, in turn, trigger neuronal action potentials, also throughout tDCS, a weak electrical current is directly applied to the scalp to modulate neuronal membrane potentials without directly inducing synchronized neuronal discharge. The investigation of brain neurotransmitters in relation to NIBS effects can provide insight into the mechanisms of action of NIBS. Indeed, neuronal plasticity depends upon a complex balance between excitatory and inhibitory neurotransmitters: glutamate (Glu) is the main brain excitatory neurotransmitter, while the γ-amino butyric acid (GABA) is the main inhibitory neurotransmitter NIBS is increasingly used to improve cognitive/behavioral deficits in neurodegenerative dementias or as a possible cognitive enhancer in preclinical stages In this review, the authors summarize insights from studies The combination of NIBS with neuroimaging is a promising approach to better understand the mechanisms of neuromodulation and to design targeted interventions for neurocognitive diseases.

Title: Why do Patients Still Have Anxiety Symptoms Despite the Use of Psychotropic Medications?

Biography:

Abstract:

Statement of the Problem: Anxiety is described as “a diffuse, unpleasant, vague sense of apprehension.” It is often a response to an imprecise or unknown threat. It is not the result of a known or specific threat. Rather it comes from the mind’s vision of the possible dangers that may result in the feared situation. The purpose of this study is to show why patients still have anxiety symptoms despite the use of psychotropic medications A broader view seems to show the necessity of seeing the patient in a holistic way, not only focusing in “containing” the disease. Methodology & Theoretical Orientation: a review of theories such as those presented by Hippocrates (“Natural forces within us are the true healers of disease.”), as well as others from oriental medicine, which explain that diseases originate from three factors: external (exposure to cold, heat, humidity, wind and dryness), internal (emotional) and dietary habits.  Findings: Approaching in a holistic and integrated way all the possible factors that are causing energy imbalances, it is possible to control or even cure the symptoms of anxiety without the use of psychotropic medications, but by treating the root of the problem, not just the symptoms. Conclusion & Significance: Anxiety, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine is triggered by the imbalance of the Yin, Yang, Qi and Blood energies, with consequent formation of Internal Heat. In this study, we can demonstrate that patients still have anxiety symptoms despite the use of psychotropic medications, for we should consider and control a variety of factors, including diet and high concentrated drugs that could be perpetuating the energy imbalance that is causing the anxiety symptoms.
