Biography

Dr. Aziz Koleilat, born in Beirut, accomplished his premedical studies at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, graduated from Charles University Prague, Czech Republic - Pediatric Faculty. . Pursued his postgraduate studies and training at the Teaching Hospital of Charles University, Prague. Acquired his first and second attestation (board degrees) at the Institute for Postgraduate Medical Studies Prague, Czech Republic. Was appointed a Chairman and Director of the Pediatric Residency Program of the Department of Pediatrics of Berbir Hospital in Beirut, (affiliated to Lebanese University & Saint Josef University). After, Chairman and Director of Pediatric Residency Program at The Makassed University Hospital (affiliated to Lille 2 University, France, the American University of Beirut, the Arab University of Beirut and the Lebanese University). I started the pediatric department at the Mother &Child hospital in Beirut. Elected General Secretary of the Pan Arab Pediatric Society of Gastroenterology, Nutrition & Hepatology. Lectured in the field of gastroenterology and nutrition at various congresses and symposia in the Czech Republic and various Arab and Mediterranean countries. Gina Mediterranean representative and IRB member at MGUH .Have many articles and research papers in the field of gastroenterology (textbooks, journals, newsletters, encyclopedias). Clinical professor at the Arab University of Beirut ,Mentor of the fourth year of a medical student of the Arab University of Beirut .Senior consultant of pediatric gastroenterology and asthma at the Makassed University General Hospital and member of the residency program. Editorial and advisory member of many gastroenterology and health journals.A member of many Lebanese, Arab and Czech & Polish medical societies, Member of many organizations and advisory committees and presided several Arab congresses .Dr. Koleilat was the first one to establish a Pediatric Award for the best research paper for pediatric residents in Lebanon. His interest is in Asthma, child development, and nutrition & gastroenterology. He is the father of three young successful men and grandfather of five wonderful grandsons and one granddaughter.
