Biography

Dr Surabhi Sharma is an alumnus of Dr. Y.S.Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni Solan, HP India. She has more than ten years of experience in teaching, research and extension. She is currently working as Associate Professor at the University Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Chandigarh University, Punjab, India. Her areas of interest are food processing, food quality and safety, postharvest management of horticultural crops and extension education. The major research contribution is in the development of honey based and kiwifruit processed products. Dr Sharma has more than 26 research papers in different national and international journals, 4 review papers, 10 manuals/ booklets and pamphlets, 6 chapters and presented papers in 20 national and international conferences. She has been closely associated with rural women and has imparted several training on fruit and vegetable processing. Besides this, she is also a reviewer for various national and international journals and member of various scientific/professional societies.
