Biography

Prof. Yuezhou Wei received his PhD in metallurgical engineering from Tohoku University, Japan in 1990. He had been working at the Institute of Research and Innovation, and then Tohoku University in Japan for 20 years. He was promoted as a full professor of Tohoku University in 2009. He was working at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China as a professor and dean of the School of Nuclear Science and Engineering from 2010 to 2016. Currently, He is the dean of the School of Resources, Environment and Materials at Guangxi University, China. He has published more than 240 scholar papers and applied for over 20 patents. He is/was a member of editorial boards of Journal of Nuclear Science and Technology, Nuclear Science and Techniques, Science China Chemistry, Atomic Energy Society of Japan, etc.


Research Interest

Prof. Wei research interests are functional adsorption materials for chemical separation related to nuclear fuel cycle, hydrometallurgical processes and environment protection, especially ion exchange and extraction chromatographic separation for actinide elements and various rare metals. His research fields also cover electrochemistry for electrolytic process and electricity storage.
