Biography

Dr Kunkun Fu is currently working as a Professor in the School of Aerospace Engineering and Applied Mechanics, Tongji University. He was awarded a “Hundred Youth Plan” Fellowship at Tongji University in 2018 after he worked as a Research Associate in the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales for more than three years. Dr Fu has completed his PhD study at Tongji University and the University of Sydney in 2014. His major research interests include the mechanics and failure of composite materials and thin film materials. He has strong expertise in numerical modelling of composite structures in various engineering areas in particularly under extreme conditions such as lightning strike and impact. He has published approximately 60 peer-reviewed journal and conference publications and served as the journal editorial member, the conference committee member, the reviewers for several prestigious international journals, and the member of various national and international academic organisations and societies.
