Biography

Kamada received Ph.D. in medicine with relaxation times of metabolites in MR spectroscopy in 1995. His academic career continued at the University of Erlangen-(Germany), Georgetown University (USA) and The University of Tokyo for neuroscience and biomedical engineering. He became professor and chairman of Neurosurgery at the Asahikawa Medical University, Japan since 2010. Present his research topics includes functional brain mapping and brain-computer interfaces. Dr. Kamada is an expert for high-gamma mapping procedures to make functional brain maps in real-time, In addition, he record cortico-cortical evoked potentials to identify normal and abnormal network for brain surgery.
