Sasan Adibi holds a PhD degree from University of Waterloo and served as the Vice Chancellor Research Fellow RMIT University. He is currently a lecturer at Deakin University and is serving as the President of the Iranian Australian Health Professionals (IRAHP) in Melbourne, Australia. Research-wise, he is an expert in health informatics and he has a publication record of 80+ scientific articles. His expertise include: Technology-assisted disease management systems, biofeedback and brainwave analysis (Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases), sleep disorder intervention systems (sleep apnea), mobile-sensor integration for diabetes applications, medical imaging analytics, Wireless Body Area Networks (WBANs).
He has a major interest in developing diet and nutrition smartphone apps and intervention systems and is an active collaborator of Deakin's University's Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition (IPAN). He was the lead researcher on a number of research grant applications, including "Nutri Air Buddy: A Real-Time Adaptive Nutrition-Smoke Control System", a VicHealth Innovation Research Grant, supported by Australian Department of Health (Victoria Health).
