Biography

Dr. Ibrahim Abuomira is broad certificated and known an Egyptian orthopedist for limb lengthening and deformity correction surgery. Dr. Ibrahim Abuomira completed his training in limb lengthening and deformity correction surgery at the International Centre for Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction (CICLLR) in Cairo and Al-Azhar University with Dr. Yasser Elbatrawy for 2 years. Dr. Ibrahim Abuomira has worked with a number of well-known specialists in limb lengthening: one year with Dr. Maurizio Catagni (an Ilizarov surgeon and founder of ASAMI, the Association for the Study and Application of the Methods of Ilizarov) in which he has earned ASAMI fellowship; two years with Dr.Alexander kirienko, University of Milano, Italy in which he studied for his doctoral degree in limb lengthening and deformity correction surgeries and the University of Milan fellowship in pediatric and Neurorthopedic (cerebral palsy, spina pivida and poliomyelitis) with Dr. Nicola Portinaro (Professor in medical school in Milano University, Chief unit of pediatric orthopedic and also chief of orthopedic department in Instituto clinico humanitas Milano, Italy. Member of Italy pediatric orthopedic association and Europe pediatric association. Prof. at Bristol University.
